Album de 49,5x33,5 cm. com 30 serigrafias coloridas impressas em folhas de cartolina couchê de Art Damasco muito encorpado (270 gr.) assinadas pelo seu autor José Manuel Rodrigues Costa.

Acondicionadas em pasta editorial de percalina azul com cantos em metal dourado e atilhos, e numa bolsa interior encontram-se as folhas A4 com gravuras e as A5 com os dados técnicos das aeronaves.

Exemplar com as folhas A5 com as fichas técnicas, em fotocópia, assim como a correspondência com várias entidades e o comentário do Brigadeiro Fernando Alberto de Oliveira.

Colecção muito rara e procurada, que reúne representações muito pormenorizadas e de grande beleza artística, sendo uma importante fonte histórica sobre o desenvolvimento da aviação e da Força Aérea em Portugal ao longo do século XX.

As trinta folhas em cartolina apresentam a reprodução de desenhos a cores de trinta modelos de aviões, vistos de perfil, que estiveram ao serviço da Força Aérea Portuguesa desde 1906 até 1986. As vinte e nove folhas A5 contêm as características e um resumo da história de cada modelo, a folha A4 apresenta um comentário sobre esta colecção da autoria do Brigadeiro Fernando A. Oliveira.

José Manuel Rodrigues Costa. ( - ) Engenheiro Aeronáutico, oficial da Força Aérea Portuguesa e pintor.

Fernando Alberto de Oliveira (São Romão de Vermoim, Maia, 1917 - Lisboa, 1992) Oficial da Aeronáutica Militar do Exército Português, depois Força Aérea Portuguesa. Tirou o Curso de Artilharia da Escola do Exército e da Escola Prática de Aeronáutica e um Curso de Engenharia Aeronáutica em Inglaterra. Foi instrutor de pilotagem e de navegação aérea na Escola de Aeronáutica Militar; Subdirector das Oficinas Gerais de Material Aeronáutico. Foi deputado à Assembleia Nacional, de 1965 a 1969, Secretário de Estado da Aeronáutica (1967 - 1969) e Ministro das Comunicações de 1969-1970.

 AIRCRAFTS FROM PORTUGAL

Album measuring 49.5 x 33.5 cm, containing 30 colour screen prints on sheets of very heavy Art Damasco coated card (270 gsm), signed by the artist, José Manuel Rodrigues Costa.

Packed in a blue percalina folder with gilt tooled metal corners and ties, and contained within an inner pouch are the A4 sheets featuring illustrations and the A5 sheets containing the technical specifications of the aircraft.

Copy containing photocopies of the A5 sheets with the technical data sheets, as well as correspondence with various organisations and a commentary by Brigadier Fernando Alberto de Oliveira.

Very rare and sought-after collection, featuring highly detailed illustrations of great artistic beauty, and serving as an important historical source on the development of aviation and the Air Force in Portugal throughout the 20th century.

The thirty sheets of cardboard feature colour reproductions of thirty aircraft models, shown in profile, which were in service with the Portuguese Air Force from 1906 to 1986. The twenty-nine A5 sheets contain the specifications and a summary of the history of each model, whilst the A4 sheet features a commentary on this collection by Brigadier Fernando A. Oliveira.

José Manuel Rodrigues Costa. ( - ) Aeronautical engineer, officer in the Portuguese Air Force and painter.

Fernando Alberto de Oliveira (São Romão de Vermoim, Maia, 1917 – Lisbon, 1992) An officer in the Portuguese Army’s Military Aviation Corps, later the Portuguese Air Force. He completed the Artillery Course at the Army School and the Practical School of Aeronautics, as well as a course in Aeronautical Engineering in England. He was a flight and air navigation instructor at the Military Aviation School; Deputy Director of the General Workshops for Aeronautical Equipment. He was a member of the National Assembly from 1965 to 1969, Secretary of State for Aeronautics (1967–1969) and Minister of Communications from 1969 to 1970.
