Revolução de Fevereiro também conhecida como a Revolução Francesa de 1848, foi a terceira revolução francesa depois da revolução de 1789 e 1830, que sob a liderança de liberais e republicanos, parte do povo de Paris, levanta-se novamente para tomar controle da capital. No dia 24 de Fevereiro de 1848 foi proclamada a segunda república por Alphonse de Lamartine, após forçar o Rei Louis-Philippe a abdicar do trono, e foi instituído um governo provisório, pondo fim à Monarquia de Julho.

Alfred Delvau (Paris, 1825 – 1867) foi um jornalista e escritor francês, secretário particular de Ledru-Rollin (Republicano progressista, um dos líderes da campanha dos Banquetes que levou à revolução de 1848 e à Segunda República). Em 1846 escreveu artigos para La Réforme, Le Triboulet em Janeiro de 1848 e no Jornal pour Rire. Em 1854 juntou-se à equipe do Dicionário de Língua Verde, e contribui também para Le Figaro.

The February Revolution, also known as the French Revolution of 1848 was the third French revolution after the revolutions of 1789 and 1830, in which, under the leadership of liberals and republicans, part of the people of Paris rose up again to take control of the capital. On 24 February 1848, the Second Republic was proclaimed by Alphonse de Lamartine, after forcing King Louis-Philippe to abdicate the throne, and a provisional government was set up, putting an end to the July Monarchy.

Alfred Delvau (Paris, 1825 - 1867) was a French journalist and writer, private secretary to Ledru-Rollin (a progressive Republican, one of the leaders of the campagne des banquets (Banquet campaign) that led to the 1848 revolution and the Second Republic). In 1846 he wrote articles for La Réforme, Le Triboulet in January 1848 and in Jornal pour Rire. In 1854 he joined the team of Dicionário de Língua Verde, and also contributes to Le Figaro.
