Exemplar em perfeito estado de conservação, apresenta com dedicatória manuscrita na guarda anterior de Sebastião Rodrigues dos Santos, então missionário no Paço Episcopal de Colaba, Bombaim, datada de 3 de Junho 1925. É dirigida aos Arquivos da Freguesia da Fundada — uma freguesia portuguesa do município de Vila de Rei conhecida, regionalmente, pela sua festa em honra de Santa Margarida, uma das festas com mais tradição na região. A dedicatória inclui a transcrição do versículo Lucas, 10:2 em latim: «messis quidem multa, operarii autem pauci, Rogate ergo Dominum messis ut mittat operarios in messem suam».

Raro. Publicado por ocasião da Exposição Missionária Universal, Roma, 1925, este livro fornece um valioso registo da arquitetura, arte, história, etnologia e do catolicismo português na diocese de Damão, que á epoca pertencia ao estado português da Índia.. Com 37 artigos, destacam-se: «Ancient Indian Civilization» por Manuel Colaço; «The Diocese», por L. C. Pêra; «The Land and the People», por F. Copy in perfect condition, with a handwritten dedication on the front cover from Sebastião Rodrigues dos Santos, then a missionary at the Episcopal Palace in Colaba, Bombay, dated 3 June 1925. It is addressed to the Archives of the Parish of Fundada - a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Vila de Rei known regionally for its festival in honour of Santa Margarida, one of the most traditional festivals in the region. The dedication includes a transcription of the verse Luke, 10:2 in Latin: «messis quidem multa, operarii autem pauci, Rogate ergo Dominum messis ut mittat operarios in messem suam» / The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his Harvest).
