Exemplar com danos na coifa superior, sinais de manuseamento nas charneiras e cantos das pastas, mancha de humidade nas folhas preliminares e finais, furos de bibliofágos no festo das páginas 1 à 25, e rasura coeva na folha de rosto sem afectar a mancha gráfica. Com gralha no número da paginação em vez de 305 tem 25.

Nas folhas preliminares, com numeração romana, contém uma carta imprensa do autor a Mr. Henri Bouchard, Procurador no Tribunal Imperial de Poitiers e membro da Assembleia Legislativa, datada de 1812, prefácio e advertência sobre a segunda edição. Inclui nas páginas finais tabela de títulos, partes, capítulos, secções e parágrafos; e um índice alfabético.

Armand Désiré de La Fontenelle de Vaudoré (Saint-Jouin-de-Milly, 1784 - Poitiers, 1847) magistrado e historiador francês, tendo ingressado na magistratura em 1808 e foi vinculado à corte de Poitiers. No ano seguinte foi nomeado procurador imperial do Tribunal Civil de primeira Instância da Comarca de La Rochelle, onde exerceu esta função até 1813, regressando depois à capital da jurisdição (Poitiers), com o título de Conselheiro da Corte Real, que manteve até à morte.

Foi membro fundador da Sociedade de Antiquários Ocidentais; membro honorário em Poitiers da Sociedade Acadêmica de Antiquários de Morinie; membro não residente da Comissão de Obras Históricas e Científicas, e membro correspondente da Academia de Inscrições e Belas Letras.

Copy with damage to the upper spine cap, signs of handling on the hinges and corners of the boards, damp stain on the preliminary and final pages, moth holes in the inner hinge of pages 1 to 25, and coeval ink coverage from a ownership title on the title page without affecting the text area. With na error in the pagination number - instead of 305, it's 25.

The preliminary pages, with Roman numerals, contain a letter from the author to Mr Henri Bouchard, Prosecutor at the Imperial Court of Poitiers and member of the Legislative Assembly, dated 1812, a preface and a warning about the second edition. The final pages include a table of titles, parts, chapters, sections and paragraphs; and an alphabetical index.

Armand Désiré de La Fontenelle de Vaudoré (Saint-Jouin-de-Milly, 1784 - Poitiers, 1847) was a French magistrate and historian who entered the judiciary in 1808 and was pointed out to the court of Poitiers. The following year he was appointed imperial prosecutor of the Civil Court of First Instance of the District of La Rochelle, where he held this position until 1813, then returned to the capital of the jurisdiction (Poitiers) with the title of Counsellor of the Royal Court, which he held until his death.

He was a founding member of the Society of Western Antiquaries; an honorary member in Poitiers of the Academic Society of Antiquaries of Morinie; a non-resident member of the Commission of Historical and Scientific Works, and a corresponding member of the Academy of Inscriptions and Fine Arts.
