Impressão com caracteres redondos e alguns itálicos. Contém notas marginais e está ornamentada com cabeções decorativos no início de cada tema e capítulo.

Exemplar com notas coevas a lápis, provavelmente do antigo proprietário, nas folhas de guarda anteriores. Tem rasgo nas páginas 99 e 100 sem parda de papel e afecta ligeiramente a macha gráfica, mancha de humidade na penúltima folha e notas a lápis manuscritas na folha de guarda posterior do primeiro volume.

Conjunto de duas obras destinadas ao ensino da filosofia e da teologia nos cursos universitários. A primeira obra, em forma de manual apresenta de forma compactada a Ontologia, a Cosmologia e a Psicologia, que estavam incluídas na filosofia e a oito partes em que se dividia a primeira parte da teologia sobre Deus e a alma humana.

A segunda obra versa também em forma de manual sobre a lógica, que era a parte inicial da filosofia.

Sigismund Maria Laurentius von Storchenau (Köttmannsdorf, 1731 - Klagenfurt, 1797) foi um padre católico, filósofo e teólogo austríaco. Ingressou na Companhia de Jesus (Ordem dos Jesuítas) em 1747 e tornou-se professor de filosofia em Viena em 1762. Escreveu vários obras filosóficas e apologéticas, entre elas: A Filosofia da Religião; Tractatus de Religione et Theologia Naturali; Esboço de LJ Spittler da história da igreja cristã; A moralidade do cristão, como deveria ser, nos discursos espirituais.

Printing with round characters and some italics. It contains marginal notes and with decorative headpieces at the beginning of each theme and chapter.

Copy with handwritten coeval notes, in pencil, probably by the previous owner, on the front flyleaves. There is a tear on pages 99 and 100 with no loss of paper and which slightly affects the printing, a damp stain on the penultimate leaf and handwritten pencil notes on the back flyleaf of the first volume.

A set of two works aimed at teaching philosophy and theology in university courses. The first work, in the form of a manual, presents in a compacted form Ontology, Cosmology and Psychology, which were included in philosophy, and the eight parts into which the first part of theology on God and the human soul was divided.

The second work is also a manual on logic, which was the initial part of philosophy.

Sigismund Maria Laurentius von Storchenau (Köttmannsdorf, 1731 - Klagenfurt, 1797) was an Austrian Catholic priest, philosopher and theologian. He joined the Society of Jesus (Jesuit Order) in 1747 and became a professor of philosophy in Vienna in 1762. He wrote several philosophical and apologetic works, including: A Filosofia da Religião; Tractatus de Religione et Theologia Naturali; LJ Spittler"s outline of the history of the Christian church; The morality of the Christian, as it should be, in spiritual discourses.
