2ª edição de uma obra de grande importância histórica publicada pela primeira vez em 1771-1774.

É uma  teoria geral das Belas Artes incluíndo a Música, para a qual o autor se socorreu, segundo as suas palavras, de autores e musicólogos virtuosos na sua época e um manual de filosofia estética sob a forma de dicionário. 

Contém um índice nas últimas 198 páginas do último volume: Register über dia allen vier der neuen vermehrten zwenten Aulage vorkommenden Schrifsteller, Künstler und Schriften.

Johann George Sulzer (Winterthur, 1720 – Berlim, 1779) teólogo e cientista suíço, que se dedicou à  investigação no campo da matemática e da física.

Illustrated in text and with folded musical scores. Text printed in two columns with very Sharp gothic characters.

Second edition of a work with great historical importance that was first published between 1771 and 1774.

This work presents a general theory of the Fine Arts, including music, for which the author, as he says, consulted virtuous authors and musicologists of his time, as well as a manual of aesthetic philosophy presented as a dictionary. 

It contains an index on the last 198 pages of the last volume: Register über dia allen vier der neuen vermehrten zwenten Aulage vorkommenden Schrifsteller, Künstler und Schriften.

Johann George Sulzer (Winterthur, 1720 – Berlim, 1779) was a Swiss theologian and scientist who did research on mathematics and physics.
